Flexsource is currently recruiting for a Quality Technician for our Client based in Kildare

  • Assist with developing LEAN systems to improve both quality system and the manufacturing execution times.
  • Conduct internal quality audits in line with the procedures in place to ensure compliance with regulatory and auditing bodies and to ensure there is continuous improvement protocols in place to assist continuous improvements.
  • Manage quality recording of the process to ensure strict control over the process including the analysis, review and investigation of non conformances and customer complaints.
  • Liaising with customers’ auditors and ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers’ specifications.
  • Working with the Quality Manager to develop, implement, communicate and maintain a quality plan to bring the Company’s Quality Systems and Policies into compliance with both national and international standards and legislation.
  • Effectively interact and communicate with departments and various teams to maintain product supply and help introduce new products through the establishment of process flows.
  • Working with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers through the supply chain.
  • Carrying out tests and checks ensuring that the level of proficiency is to the required standard and relevant check are set as per standard operating procedure.
  • Plan, formulate and agree comprehensive quality procedures, including the writing of technical and management systems reports / sop’s. Continuously update and review procedures to generate continuous improvements.
  • Assist with maintaining the company’s quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in-process materials and components, processes and finished goods.
  • Assist with establishing clearly defined quality methods for staff to apply. Including training and education of personnel through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Establishing standards of service for customers and clients. Engage and reply to queries in a timely manner, supply relevant information on product specifications and process where applicable.
  • Create Trends on Internal and External NCR’s.
  • Assisting with Environmental system (EMS) in accordance with the Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) License. Monitor and review reports, system of operation and communicate with the relevant regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Degree or 3rd level qualification (Science, Food, Production)
  • Internal auditing experience an advantage.
  • Manufacturing experience a distinct advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Results driven.
  • Ability to work independently
  • QMS System : Forward planning preparation for external auditors
  • Be detail orientated, results-orientated and ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic environment.
  • Work well under pressure, excellent organisational abilities, set and meet deadlines, be able to handle several priorities in a day; be dependable, adaptable, creative and self-motivated.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required
